by: Savannah Perkins

It’s no secret that Fairhope is home to some of the most delicious restaurants around, offering some favorite Gulf Coast classics as well as unique dishes full of flavors that are not native to this area. In this post we’ll share how you can eat around the world without leaving Fairhope, Alabama!

McSharry’s Irish Pub 🇮🇪

If you’re looking for traditional Irish food that will leave your belly full and happy, McSharry’s is the place for you. The owner uses his family’s traditional recipes to serve up some of the best Irish dishes you’ve tasted on this side of the Atlantic. The fish and chips are served with a malt vinegar aioli that magnifies the flavor, and the shepherd’s pie is cozy and flavorful. Each dish is served piping hot and can be enjoyed alongside one of their many beer choices.

Wok by d’Bay 🇯🇵

This is the spot for Asian food lovers! With influences from Thai, Japanese, and Chinese flavors, Wok is a hub for delicious Eastern cuisine. Not only do they offer yummy traditional favorites such as General Tzo’s chicken and gyoza, they also have delicious restaurant specialties like the Wok hush puppies and sushi pizza. If you’re looking for a satisfying noodle dish or super fresh sushi, look no further than Wok by d’Bay!

Sage Lebanese Cuisine and Café 🇱🇧

This family-run restaurant boasts bold Mediterranean flavors packed into classic dishes that you know and love. The decor and atmosphere immediately make you feel as if you’ve been transported to another country, and the family and staff welcome you warmly. Some of their popular standards are hummus, which is offered in traditional and twisted flavors like sriracha jalapeño; shawarma, which is tender and so tasty after marinating for 48 hours (!); and their kebabs, which are juicy and full of seasoning.

Panini Pete’s Pasta and Pizza 🇮🇹

This new addition to the downtown area has everyone feeling amore! As soon as you walk through the gates of the French Quarter downtown, you can hear the old-fashioned big band music playing in the courtyard. Once you sit, you’re met with the aroma of basil and garlic and all things deliciously, freshly Italian. Their menu offers Fairhope twists on classic Italian dishes (all crafted with handmade pasta) and pizzas covered in their house-made mozzarella. Don’t forget to save room for cannoli!

Oui Oui Paris 🇫🇷

Another newcomer to Fairhope, Oui Oui Paris is the place to go for an authentic French meal experience. Soft French music welcomes you as you walk past (and are tempted by) the dessert counter. The menu offers some classic French favorites, like the Croque Monsieur or the Salade Niçoise, as well as other yummy offerings like the hot, roasted turkey sandwich or the creamy potato soup. And no trip here is complete without a sweet treat! From crème brûlée to Paris Brest, the chef is always whipping up something traditional and magnifique!
